Strike suspended from Monday on most metro lines

Paris metro drivers on strike against pension reform voted Friday in most of their general assemblies to suspend their movement from Monday, the Unsa union announced on Saturday, which said it was still “determined to continue the fight”.

It is for the strikers to “regain strength” before the next mobilization, scheduled for Friday January 24, said Laurent Djebali, representative of metro and RER drivers at Unsa RATP, 1st union of the management. Traffic should therefore resume normally on 12 metro lines, as well as on the RER A, he detailed. Metro lines 5 and 13, as well as the RER B, could remain disrupted.
