Aurélien Rousseau (ARS Ile-de-France): “The Covid crisis is a formidable accelerator of change in the health system”

As the second wave of the Covid epidemic recedes, the boss of the Regional Health Agency of the capital region explains how local health actors were able to learn the lessons of the first wave, in the spring: involvement of caregivers in town, hospital deprogramming, prevention, nursing home management.

Aurélien Rousseau, Director General of ARS Ile-de-France.

Have you noticed an improvement in the health situation in Ile-de-France?

Tuesday evening, we went below 900 Covid patients in intensive care, with 6,000 Covid hospitalizations. The downward movement is symmetrical to the earlier rise; the wave rose very quickly and very high in Paris and it descends at the same rate. The evolution was a little slower in the inner ring, even less in the outer ring.
